Tonganoxie, McLouth in large area under wind advisory until Tuesday evening
Tonganoxie and McLouth are included in a wind advisory Tuesday with gusts of up to 45 mph expected. The National Weather Service issued the advisory this morning. It will be in effect until 7 p.m. South winds of 20-30 mph also are anticipated for the advisory, which covers portions of northeast and east central Kansas, along with north central, northeast, northwest and west central Missouri. The NWS reminds residents that gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree lmibs also could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
