Services for Ernest A. Logan, 91, Lansing, were Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at Belden-Sexton Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bud Jones of the High Prairie Church officiating. Burial was in Kickapoo Cemetery.

Mr. Logan died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at the Medicalodge of Leavenworth. He was born Sept. 28, 1908, in Lansing, the son of Bert and Minnie Lohman Logan.

He attended Lansing schools and became a self-employed carpenter and worked for various construction companies through the Leavenworth Construction Union for more than 45 years, retiring in 1970. He also was a member of the Leavenworth Fish and Game Association for 40 years.

He married Kathleen R. Haling on July 25, 1961, in Van Buren, Ark. She survives at the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Judy Pritchett and Trudy Bolewski, both of Leavenworth; a son, Clyde Smith, Manteca, Calif.; two brothers, Harold Logan, Leavenworth, and Richard Logan, Los Angeles; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandchild and a son, Robert "Smitty" Smith.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
