Services for Vera Kathleen Aye Clatterbuck, 69, Topeka, were Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at Christ Lutheran Church, Topeka. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Clatterbuck died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000. She was born Oct. 13, 1930, at Avalon, Mo, the daughter of Ralph B. and Mabel Riddle Aye. She was a resident of Lyon County from 1934 to 1953. She had lived in Topeka since 1953.
Mrs. Clatterbuck graduated from Allen High School and attended Emporia State College. From 1948 to 1951, she taught at Mansfield School, south of Eskridge. From 1989 to 1997, she was manager of Green Liquor Store.
She was a charter member of the Christ Lutheran Church, and a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Topeka. She was a member of Writer's Bloc family history writers group.
On May 28, 1954, she married Gene Clatterbuck, in Allen. He died Aug. 3, 1998.
Survivors include, two daughters, Juna Green, Topeka, and Tami Hunt, Overbrook; a son, Scott Clatterbuck, Topeka; two sisters, Evelyn English, Allen, and Judy Giddings, Emporia; four brothers, Delbert Aye, Tonganoxie, Neal Aye, Willow Springs, Mo., Phillip Aye and Sylburt Aye, both of Allen; and 11 grandchildren.
