The future bride is a 1996 graduate of Tonganoxie High School. She earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education in December from Pittsburg State University. She works at Valley Park Elementary School in the Blue Valley school district.
The future groom is a 1994 graduate of Basehor-Linwood High School who earned a bachelor's degree in 1988 in commercial graphics from Pittsburg State University. He is employed by Valentine, McCormick and Ligibel, Kansas City, Mo.
The couple plan a June 2, 2000, wedding at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lawrence.
Ben and Margaret Saathoff, Tonganoxie, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lenay Saathoff, Tonganoxie, to Lynn McQueen of Longmont, Colo.
The future bride is a graduate of Tonganoxie High School and continued her education at Baker University, Baldwin. She earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and business management and received a master's in business administration from Webster University in Kansas City, Mo. She is employed with Dun & Bradstreet, Overland Park.
The future groom, the son of Ed and June McQueen, graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder, with a bachelor's degree in computer engineering. He is employed with Seagate Technologies as a firmware specialist.
The couple plan an April 1, 2000 wedding at Tonganoxie Christian Church.
A reception is planned for April 15 in Longmont, Colo., where the future bride and groom will live.
Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Weeks, McLouth, announce the engagement of their daughter, Corissa, to Brian Uphoff, son of Gerry Uphoff and the late Frank Uphoff, Iola.
The future bride is a 1993 graduate of McLouth High School. She received a bachelor's degree in 1997 in elementary education from Kansas State University. She teaches at Prairie View East Elementary School in LaCygne. She also is on the coaching staff of the girls basketball and softball teams at Prairie View High School.
The future groom is a 1994 graduate of Iola High School. He is a 1998 graduate of Kansas State University, where he earned a degree in elementary education. He is pursuing a master's degree at Emporia State University and he currently is teaching at Prairie View East Elementary School in LaCygne.
The couple plan a June 17, 2000 wedding at Wesley United Methodist Church, Iola.
