Mass of Christian burial for Ilean M. Guza, 76, Taunton, Minn., was Tuesday, July 18, 2000, at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Taunton, Minn., with the Rev. Paul Hadusek officiating. Burial was in Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Cemetery in Taunton.
Mrs. Guza died on Saturday, July 15, 2000, at the Divine Providence Health Center in Ivanhoe, Minn. Ilean M. (Driessens) Guza was born on February 4, 1924, in Alta Vista Township of Lincoln County, Minn., the daughter of Julius and Hilda (Richards) Driessens. She grew up in Minneota, Minn., and attended St. Edward's Catholic School and Minneota Public High School.
On May 2, 1946, she married Max A. Guza at St. Edward's Catholic Church. The couple lived in Minneota for a time before moving to Taunton.
Mrs. Guza worked at Kline's Variety Store in Minneota, Swift's Inc. in Marshall and Schott's, Inc. in Minneota. She also worked at Minneota Public High School for "GreenThumb." She was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church and the Council of Catholic Women.
Survivors include three sons, Paul Guza of Minneota, Dennis Guza of Lynd, Minn., and Louis Robichaux of Prosper, Texas; and two daughters, Bernice Olson of Tonganoxie, and Diann Landsman of Balaton, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Max; and a son, Michael.
Birk Funeral Home in Canby handled arrangements.
