Services for Roy F. Dodge Jr., 80, McLouth, were Monday, June 26, 2000, at the McLouth Church of the Nazarene, McLouth, with the Rev. David Showalter officiating. Burial was in the National Cemetery, Leavenworth.

Mr. Dodge died Friday, June 23, 2000, at Hickory Point Nursing Center, Oskaloosa. He was born Sep. 30, 1919, In Shawnee, Okla., the son of Roy F. and Elizabeth (Simpson) Dodge. He retired in 1988 as a building contractor and real estate agent in Wyandotte and Johnson counties. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

Mr. Dodge was one of the founders and a lifetime deacon of the White Church Baptist Church, Kansas City, Kan. He moved to McLouth in 1994 and was a member of the McLouth Church of the Nazarene.

On Jan. 1, 1943, he married Lillian J. Irving in Camden, N.J. She survives, of the home. A son, Bobby, died in 1945.
Other survivors include four sons, Michael, California, Danny, McLouth, Mark, Ventura, Calif., and David, Idaho Springs, Colo.; four daughters, Gayle Dodge-Parks, Kansas City, Kan., Dana Aydukovich, McLouth, Elizabeth Durant, McLouth, and Angie Petrovic, Idaho Springs, Colo.; a brother, Gene, Lakeland, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the McLouth Church of the Nazarene, McLouth.
