A vehicle driven by Julie Curry, 19, Tonganoxie, struck a deer on Leavenworth County Road 5, near Front Street, about 8:05 a.m. last Wednesday. The vehicle sustained minor damage and the deer ran off.

A vehicle driven by Ed Cummings, 29, Leavenworth County Sheriff employee, was traveling south on County Road 29, just south of Stranger Road, about 9 p.m. Nov. 7 when a deer ran into the road. Cummings' vehicle struck the deer. The deer ran off. The vehicle was equipped with deer whistles. The vehicle sustained damage more than $500 to its front end.
Two saddles, two bridles and a wool blanket worth more than $500 were stolen about 6:45 a.m. last Wednesday from a barn in the 12000 block of 206th Street.
Vehicles driven by Mansoor Chalid, 29, Lawrence, and Debora Fey, 43, Linwood, were traveling west on Kansas Highway 32 about 5 p.m. last Wednesday when Chalid's vehicle began to slide on the ice-covered KTA bridge. It crossed the highway into the eastbound lane and struck a vehicle driven by Gary Thomas, 62, Linwood. Fey's vehicle then struck the rear of Chalid's vehicle. Chalid was transferred by private vehicle to a hospital to have minor injuries treated. Damages were unknown.
A vehicle driven by Brian Sanders, 32, Leavenworth, was traveling south on U.S. Highway 73 near 195th Street about 6:05 p.m. last Wednesday when it struck a deer. Damage to the vehicle was unknown.
A vehicle driven by Mark Zerrer, 31, Tonganoxie, was traveling east on U.S. Highway 24-40 near 174th Street about 8 p.m. last Wednesday when it struck a deer standing in the road. Damage to the vehicle was about $600.
A vehicle driven by Robert Dutro, 30, Leavenworth, was traveling south on U.S. Highway 24-40 about five miles south of Tonganoxie about 2 p.m. Saturday when it struck a deer. Dutro's vehicle sustained about $500 damage.
A vehicle driven by Lawrence Chmidling, 59, Leavenworth, was traveling west on County Road 10 east of Bauserman Road about 8:15 a.m. Sunday when it struck a deer.
A vehicle driven by Stacy Fulkerson, 25, Tonganoxie, was traveling about 6 a.m. Friday on U.S. Highway 24-40, about four miles east of town when it struck and killed a deer.
A vehicle driven by Douglas Harsh, 41, McLouth, was traveling west on U.S. Highway 24-40, near County Road 5, about 6:10 p.m. Friday when it hit and killed a deer.
A vehicle driven by Kenneth Hinz, 37, Tonganoxie, was traveling east on U.S. Highway 24-40, just south of town, about 5:30 p.m. Saturday when it hit and killed a deer. Damage to Hinz's vehicle was more than $500.
