Seufert-Collins

Chris Seufert and Angel Collins were married Aug. 12, 2000, at the DeSoto United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dennis Matthews officiating.

The groom is the son of Linda and Louis Seufert III, Tonganoxie.

The bride is the daughter of Don and Gail Collins, Tonganoxie. The groom also is the grandson of Harriet Hughes-Mark and Mary Seufert, both of Tonganoxie.

Kim Langston-Fairchild was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Susan Seufert-Bastion and Rachel Hentges. Jason Arnold was best man. Pete Standish and Erick Starkweather were groomsmen.

Jeremy Fairchild was ring bearer, Tori Bastion was flower girl and Amity Bastion attended the guestbook.

Chris Collins, Jason Star and Paul Beyer were ushers.

A reception was held at Liberty Hall, Lawrence.

The couple live in Durham, N.C., where Chris attends law school at Duke University.

After he graduates in May, they plan to live in Houston.

Guidry-Schmitz

Nikki Lee Guidry, Tonganoxie, and Jason Schmitz, Lawrence, were married Nov. 11, 2000, at Reno Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Kasper officiating.

The bride is the daughter of James D. Foster, Burlington, Wash., and Cindy D. Foster, Tonganoxie.

The groom is the son of Judy K. and James C. Schmitz Jr., Lawrence.

Cindy Foster was maid of honor. Summer Glover was bridesmaid. Curtis Patton was best man. James C. Schmitz Jr. Dennis Sivyer and Drew Kelly were groomsmen. Jessica V.R. Foster was flower girl.

A reception was held at the Union Pacific Railroad Depot in Lawrence.

The bride is a graduate of Hanford Joint Union High School, Hanford, Calif. She works for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.

The groom is a graduate of Tonganoxie High School who works for Hallmark Cards.

The couple live in Tonganoxie.
