Group sponsors spaying/neutering
To celebrate 10 years of helping the community help its pets, Leavenworth Animal Welfare Society is sponsoring a spay/neuter campaign in October. The purpose is to spay/neuter before our pets produce more unwanted kittens and puppies.

During October, LAWS will pay the veterinarian performing the surgery $20 per dog and $15 per cat (limit four animals per owner). These amounts are then deducted from the pet ownerscost.

To participate, call (913) 651-4780 or to leave a taped message, call (913) 651-5297 before the surgery; make an appointment with the veterinarian of your choice; and LAWS will send the reimbursement to the veterinarian.
