E A vehicle driven by Angela Nemeth, 24, Tonganoxie, was traveling east on County Road 6 when it struck and killed a deer about 6:45 a.m. last Wednesday. Damage to the vehicle was more than $500.

E A vehicle driven by Angela Folsom, 18, Tonganoxie, was traveling north on U.S. Highway 24-40, about 9 miles southeast of Tonganoxie, when Folsom saw a deer about midnight Friday. Folsom tried to avoid hitting the deer, but it struck the passenger side of the vehicle and ran off. The vehicle sustained minor damage.

E A vehicle driven by Conan Brazee, 20, Bonner Springs, was traveling south on Kansas Highway 32 when Brazee attempted to pass on the right shoulder while a vehicle turned left into a driveway about 8:10 p.m. Saturday. Brazee lost control of the vehicle and struck a vehicle driven by Scott Perry, 21, Linwood, which was traveling north. Perry sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Perry refused transportation. Brazee was not injured. Both vehicles sustained about $4,000 damage.

E Officers from the state fire marshals office and the Leavenworth County Sheriffs Department are still investigating whether it was arson that caused an Oct. 1 fire at Manic Martys, which is just west of Tonganoxie on Kansas Highway 16. Damage to the bar/restaurant was more than $50,000. Louie and Marty McDowell, owners, say they havent finalized plans for repair.

E A vehicle belonging to a 15-year-old Tonganoxie youth was burglarized Friday in the Tonganoxie High School parking lot. An amplifier, CD player and CD, valued at $265, were taken.
