Walk against hunger set Sunday afternoon
Tonganoxie’s annual Crop Walk begins at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at VFW Park.

Organizers have set a fund-raising goal of $2,500 to help stop hunger in Tonganoxie and around the world. A portion of the funds raised here go to the hunger-fighting work of the Good Shepherd Thrift Shop and the Ministerial Alliance.

Last year, walkers raised more than $1,700. Information is available at the St. Rose of Lima, United Methodist or Congregational churches. Clowns Bob and Norma Anderton will lead the way.

This walk is one of about 2,000, which are taking place around the nation.

Tim Tice will be recognized for his 25 years of participating in Crop Walks in Tonganoxie.
