Someone stole a CD stereo and 60 CDs from a vehicle in the 600 block of Barton Street between 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle’s dashboard was also damaged when the stereo was removed. The estimated loss was $1,650.
A new central air unit and a storm door were stolen from an uninhabited dwelling in the 100 block of East Fourth Street sometime during the past five or six weeks. The estimated loss was $1,650.
A CD player face-plate worth $110, two 12-inch speakers worth $200, an amplifier worth $100 and five CDs worth $75 were stolen from a vehicle in the 1100 block of Bury Drive between 2:10 a.m. and 2:25 a.m. Saturday. Two men were seen leaving the scene in a vehicle.

A fire destroyed a barn about 3:50 a.m. Sept. 17 at Seymour Road and County Road 29. The barn had 13 hay bales and a tractor that were destroyed. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
A vehicle driven by Randolph Schmalstieg, 33, Leavenworth, was traveling west on County Road 14, near 227th Street, about 10:35 a.m. Sept. 18 when the driver fell asleep. The vehicle left the road and hit two culverts before landing in a ditch. The vehicle sustained more than $500 damage. There were no injuries.
A vehicle driven by Steven Buffo, 39, Leavenworth, was traveling west on 4-H Road, just west of 155th Street, about 7 a.m. Sept. 20 when a deer ran in the road. Damages were under $500.
A vehicle driven by Robert Jackson, 19, Basehor, was traveling north on County Road 2 when the vehicle veered off the road into a ditch and collided into a utility guide wire and two culverts at about 1:15 a.m., Thursday. Jackson and a passenger, James Busch Jr., 25, Basehor, were not wearing their seatbelts and received facial and head injuries. Both were taken to Providence Medical Center by Leavenworth County EMS. The vehicle was totaled. Busch was treated and released. Providence would not disclose information regarding Jackson’s condition.
A vehicle driven by Christopher Collicott, 33, Lawrence, attempted to make a left turn at Kansas Highway 92 and Country Road 29 about 7:15 p.m. Friday when a vehicle driven by George Lowe, 18, Easton, rear-ended Collicott’s vehicle. Collicott was transported to St. John Hospital where he was treated and released. Both vehicles sustained more than $500 damage.
A vehicle driven by John Himpel Jr., 51, Tonganoxie and a vehicle driven by Lucas Speakman, 18, Basehor, sideswiped on a hilltop on Sandusky Road, just east of 206th Street, about 2:30 p.m. Monday. Both vehicles sustained minor damages and there were no injuries.
A vehicle driven by Kenneth Speer, 52, Horton, was traveling south on U.S. Highway 73 about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday when it struck and killed a deer. Damages were more than $500.
Someone stole a tent, air mattress, two sleeping bags, a Swiss army knife, three fishing poles and reels, a tackle box, two blankets, pants and two long-sleeved T-shirts at Leavenworth State Lake about 11:50 p.m., Monday. The items belonged to Zachary McQuade, 20, Anthony Steffensmeier, 19, and Jeremy Wangler, 19, all who are from Omaha, Neb. The three victims had left to watch a concert and when they returned the items were missing. There are no suspects.
