No services are planned for Fay A. Shryer, 60, Tonganoxie, who died Friday, April 6, 2001, at her home following a battle with Lou Gehrig's disease.

Cremation was planned.

Mrs. Shryer was born June 21, 1940, in Denver, the daughter of Otto and Helen (Breckenridge) Weisendanger. She lived in Kansas City, Kan., before moving in 1994 to Tonganoxie. She worked for JC Penney for 28 years before she retired in 1999 because of her illness.

She married Norman Shryer on Oct. 5, 1957, in Miami, Okla. He survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Deborah Seetin, Bonner Springs; a brother, J.R. Weiss, Lakewood, Colo.; a sister, Kathy Payne, Blue Springs, Mo.; and a granddaughter.

A grandson, Joshua Seetin, died earlier.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Kansas City Hospice, sent in care of Quisenberry Funeral Home, P.O. Box 993, Tonganoxie, 66086.
