Aunt Norie’s Sewing Room

December 19, 2001

"My daughter is always coming up with a clever idea and this one I'd like to share with others," W.S. said. This one is just too good to keep. Would you believe she's now made slip covers for her louvered window blinds?"

She then went on to explain her daughter had made long narrow tubes of fabric to just fit over each louver, sliding it clear to the top and anchored it securely. She then made a matching valence to go across the top, creating a beautiful window treatment. She said it also would help with the heating and cooling bills.

As she shared the following with us, we can quickly see just where daughter gets her unique talents. She tells us they one time had a large house with two bathrooms and no utility room. "The downstairs bathroom was large enough to put the washer and dryer in one end, then I put up a regular shower rod and curtain to close it off when company was coming or just when it was not in use."

Two very clever girls. I'm sure many of you have ideas you'd like to share. We appreciate them.

Christmas is near, so have a jolly one. And God bless you all. Aunt Norie, P.O. Box 265, Tonganoxie, 66086-0265.
