A mobile home located in the 22000 block of Kansas Avenue had about $3,000 worth of fire damage after an electrical cord from a VCR sparked a fire about 1 a.m. Sunday.

Someone stole $3,116 worth of items from a residence located in the 12500 block of 214th Street, Linwood, sometime Friday. Someone broke in through the basement door and exited through the kitchen.

Someone damaged a mailbox in the 23600 block of Cantrell Road, Tonganoxie, by striking it with an unknown object between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday. The estimated damage was $25.

Someone damaged two mailboxes in the 25000 block of Loring Road, Lawrence, between 4 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

A vehicle driven by Michael Simpson, 18, Leavenworth, was traveling north on 211th Street about 8 p.m. Monday when Simpson attempted to turn onto McIntyre Road. Simpson lost control of the vehicle and rolled into the north ditch off McIntyre Road. Simpson was taken to Saint John Hospital by Leavenworth County EMS. He was treated and released.

A vehicle driven by Johnnie Ferguson, 47, Tonganoxie, was traveling south on U.S. Highway 24-40, three miles south of Tonganoxie, about 6:15 p.m. Monday when a deer ran into the passenger side of the vehicle.

A vehicle driven by Brian Quisenberry, 21, Tonganoxie, was traveling north on Ridge Road when a vehicle driven by Kristin Edmonds, 20, Tonganoxie, pulled out from the B & J parking lot and collided with Quisenberry’s vehicle. Damages were unknown. There were no injuries.

A 22-year-old Tonganoxie man was arrested Sunday on charges of possession and use of a stimulant and drug paraphernalia. He also was arrested on charges of obstructing the legal process or official duty, attempting to elude a police officer and battery against a law enforcement officer with use of a personal weapon.
