Corissa Lee Weeks and Brian Lee Uphoff were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. June 17, 2000, at the Wesley United Methodist Church, Iola, Kan. The Rev. Scott Berry and the Rev. John Thompson officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Clifford and Corlis Weeks, McLouth, and the granddaughter of Gerald and Harriet Ridenour, the late Lloyd and Ruth Weeks, and the step granddaughter of Marjorie Weeks, all of Council Grove.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Gerry Uphoff, Iola, and the late Frank Uphoff. He is the grandson of Mildred Homan, Newton, Kan., the late Harry Homan, Elsie Uphoff, Peabody, Kan., and the late Elmer Uphoff.
Cara Weeks, Lawrence, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Frauna Ridenour, Okla-homa City; Jana Terry, Mc-Louth, and Kristen Springer, Roeland Park.
Dustin Springer, Roeland Park, served as best man. Groomsmen were Brandon Powers, Iola, Travis Ridenour, Oklahoma City., and Dirk Mc-Clure, Olathe. Justin Schwinn, Meridan, and David Dale, Eudora, served as ushers.
Logan Terry, flower girl, was escorted by her brother, Skyler Terry, McLouth.
Allyson Walters, Lawrence, played piano; and Spencer Dale, Eudora, sang. Dixie Thompson, Iola, was the organist. The Wesley United Methodist Bell Choir also provided music.
Attending the guest book was Denis Dyke, Plano, Texas. Kim Dryer, Manhattan, handed out programs and Heidi and Michala Karn, McLouth, received gifts.
A dinner reception at Allen County Community College followed the ceremony.
Reception attendants were Beth Smith, La Cygne; Lesa Isbell, Parker; Melissa Cannon-Smith, The Plains, Ohio; Tricia Murr, Emporia; and Dee Gill, McLouth. Reception hosts were the bride's aunt and uncle, Patty and Craig Ridenour, Oklahoma City, and Sue and Ed O' Connor, Iola.
The bride and groom are both graduates of Kansas State University. The Uphoffs teach third grade in the elementary schools of the Prairie View school district,
The couple live in La Cygne.
