Leavenworth County Sheriff
Adam Thompson, 36, Leavenworth, was traveling north on County Road 5, about a mile south of County Road 9, about 1:15 p.m. Feb. 25 when he hit a deer in the road. Damage was more than $500.
Sarah Holliday, 15, Tonganoxie, was traveling east on Kansas Highway 16, just east of 243rd Street, about 7:30 a.m. Feb. 27 when she lost control of her vehicle and slid off into a ditch. In the process, her vehicle hit numerous small trees and a utility box. She was not injured. Damages were more than $500.
David Peres, 28, Lawrence, was traveling north on U.S. Highway 24-40, just south of County Road 1, about 8 a.m. Feb. 27 when he lost control of his vehicle on the icy road. He traveled left of center and struck a vehicle driven by Debra Williams, 33, Lawrence, which was traveling south on 24-40. Damage to each vehicle was about $4,000. Peres and Williams suffered minor injuries.
Marylee Berry, 49, McLouth, was traveling south toward Tonganoxie on Kansas Highway 16, just north of Leavenworth Road, about 7:30 a.m. Feb. 27 when someone driving a green mini-van slid on the icy road into the southbound lane. Berry had to swerve to avoid hitting the vehicle and lost control of her vehicle and ended up in the ditch. Berry's vehicle struck numerous trees. There was more than $500 damage.
Stanley Johnson, 39, Leavenworth, was traveling on 227th Street, south of Bauserman Road, about 4:30 p.m. last Wednesday and was rounding a curve but lost control on the snow-packed road and went into a ditch. Damages were unknown.
Tamara Potts, 39, Bonner Springs, parked her vehicle in the 17500 block of 158th Street in the Glenwood Ridge parking lot about 8:30 p.m. Friday. Someone hit her vehicle while it was parked. Damage was not listed.
Dennis Lindsay, 40, Tonganoxie, was traveling west on U.S. Highway 24-40, about five miles east of Tonganoxie, about 7 p.m. Saturday when his vehicle hit a deer. Damages were more than $500.
