Each year the Kansas Board of Regents acknowledges graduates of Kansas high schools who have completed a college preparatory curriculum. These Tonganoxie High School graduates received this recognition:

Other awards announced at Saturday's graduation ceremony include:
Marissa Stephenson and Jacob Hoffhines received the Kansas State High School Activities Association Citizenship Award. Each year the high school faculty votes on two students, taking into consideration their respect for country, responsibility for improving school and community and reverence for life.
Darren Welch received the Kansas State University Math and Science award. Each year, KSU recognizes outstanding students in math and science in each graduating class in Kansas. The students are selected by the math and science departments.
Julia Ferguson, Dave Gepner, Mark Gepner, Kristina Ladas, Kimberly Larson, Marissa Stephenson and Darren Welch, who received State of Kansas Scholars awards, based on high performance on the ACT college entrance exam and cumulative grade-point averages.
The class of 2001 has been awarded more than $293,000 in scholarships from outside sources. Students who have been awarded outside scholarships are:
