Daniel Warren Chaline

Services for Daniel Warren Chaline, 38, Osawatomie, were Saturday, May 26, 2001, at Faith Builders International Church, De Soto. Burial with a military graveside service was in De Soto Cemetery, De Soto.

Mr. Chaline died May 22, 2001, in a car accident near Osawatomie. He was born May 25, 1962, in Houston, the son of Robert “Bobby” Elton Chaline, Houston, and Billie Pearl McAlpine Chaline, Pasadena, Texas.

He moved to Osawatomie in March of this year.

Mr. Chaline served in the U.S. Army for eight years and was stationed in Fort Riley. He was a member of the Teamsters Local Union No. 838 and the Western Cherokee Nation of Arkansas and Missouri. He worked for KC Cold Storage in Bonner Springs. He was also a registered nurse and graduated from Johnson County Community College’s nursing program in 1996. He graduated in 1979 from Big Bend Community College, Washington, D.C. Mr. Chaline also participated in Operation Sunshine, and R.O.C.K. organizations within the church.

He also had lived in Tonganoxie, Kansas City, Kan., and Clearwater Beach, Fla.

He married Patricia Ann Ramsey Chaline on Oct. 1, 1992, in De Soto. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include his parents; five daughters, Julia Ann Rose Chaline of the home, Ashley Lee Ann Chaline, Overland Park, Skylar Michale Chaline, Gardner, Alicia Chaline, Manhattan, and Katrine Chaline, Tonganoxie; two sons, Thomas Daniel Christian Chaline, Tonganoxie, and Robert Warren Chaline, Manhattan; five brothers, Richard Chaline, Pittsburg, Kan., Randall Chaline, Fort Stockton, Texas, Gerald Chaline, Houston, Roger Chaline, Houston, and Brian Chaline, Palm Bay, Fla.; two sisters, Patricia Lois Chaline, Pasadena, Texas, and Lisa Chaline, Anoka, Minn.; one grandson; and his paternal grandmother, Naomie Thibbeaux, Houston.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Operation Sunshine, sent in care of Faith Builders International Church, 8390 Peoria, De Soto, 66018.
