Laura Knetter, 16, Tonganoxie, reported that she struck a deer at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 8 on County Road 1 about 2 miles south of U.S. Highway 24-40.
William Crossman, 66, Leavenworth, reported that he struck a deer at 10:40 p.m. Nov. 9 on County Road 33 just south of Shawnee. The deer ran away after being hit.
Sheriff's officers took a report of a vehicle and deer collision that occurred at 6 p.m., Nov. 12 on U.S. Highway 24-40 east of Hemphill Road. The driver, Randy McGinnis, 42, Tonganoxie, told officers a deer crossed the road in the path of the vehicle.
A Tonganoxie resident reported to sheriff's officers that his vehicle had struck a deer. At about 6:15 p.m., Nov. 13, Brian Hill, 16, was northbound on 235th Street north of Kansas Highway 16 when a deer entered the roadway.
A vehicle and deer collision occurred at 6:25 p.m. Nov. 13 just east of 163rd Street on Fairmount Road. The driver, Megan Merrill, 26, Mission, said a deer crossed in front of the van.
A witness reported an unknown person threw a container of yogurt at the front entrance of the Wallula Christian Church, 23785 139th Street on Nov. 13 or 14.
Julie A. Tomrell, 15, Leavenworth, was eastbound on K-92 at 3:32 p.m. last Wednesday. She applied brakes while going too fast down a hill, then left the roadway and skidded into a concrete culvert. The vehicle came to rest in the westbound lane. Local Emergency Medical Services transported her to St. John Hospital, Leavenworth. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at more than $5,000.
A Leavenworth driver reported to sheriff's officers that his vehicle struck a deer at 5:40 p.m., Wednesday. James Stanley, 32, said he was northbound on Santa Fe Trail, .8 mile north of U.S. Highway 73 when a deer entered the roadway.
A vehicle driven by Lawrence Easy, 38, Leavenworth, was traveling west on Millwood Road about two miles east of County Road 13 at about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday when the vehicle struck a deer.
Cassandra Akaski, 16, Leavenworth, struck a deer at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday on K-92 just west of 207th Street.
Edward McLoud, 66, Leavenworth, reported that he struck a deer at 8:55 p.m. Thursday on Tonganoxie Road south of County Road 10.
A vehicle driven by James Timmons, 60, Leavenworth, struck a deer on Tonganoxie Road, just north of 199th Street. Timmons told officers he was driving north at 6:05 p.m. Thursday when a deer came onto the roadway. After the deer was struck, it ran away.
