Congratulations, THS class of 2002
On Saturday night, Tonganoxie High School will graduate the members of the Class of 2002.
As these young people head off to jobs, colleges and trade schools, we wish them well. It's a heady time in life the end of one chapter, but the beginning of another chapter. We hope the next chapter, and all of the other chapters are rewarding for these new graduates.
As these graduates begin to leave the fold, it is hoped that the Tonganoxie school system and these young people's parents have prepared them well for the challenges, the joys and the satisfactions of life.
One of the greatest gifts that teachers and parents who are our first and most important teachers can bestow is the desire to learn. By becoming lifelong learners, members of the Class of 2002 will be successful and will positively contribute to society, regardless of the roles they assume.
When the last air horn sounds on Saturday, and as confetti and mortar boards fly through the air, it will be a proud moment for the entire Tonganoxie community. We will be sending forward a new wave of young adults into the world.
Congratulations to each of them on all they have achieved during the first 18 years of their lives. And best wishes to each of them, in all they endeavor.
