McLouth Bulldogs smoke Burlingame for seventh win
There's nothing like a home game complete with a king and queen of court coronation to boost a team.
That is, of course, if the home squad wins.
McLouth notched a non-conference win Friday against Burlingame with a 67-49 victory, something the Bulldogs haven't seen many of lately. McLouth had lost five of six before playing the Bearcats, including a 78-77 heartbreaker to Pleasant Ridge Feb. 7 and a 94-69 shellacking to archrival Oskaloosa on Feb. 11.
Isaac Gardner, Travis Steffey and Cody Strange provided a triple threat as each scored 15. Terence Fixico also was in double figures with 10 in the rout. Pat Bartlett chipped in six, Nathan Subelka had four and Casey Hochard scored two in the victory.
After a road game Tuesday at Jefferson County North, McLouth plays Friday at Horton and will be at home Feb. 28 for the regular season finale against Jackson Heights.
McLouth is 7-9 overall and 2-4 in the Delaware Valley League.
