Parole board seeks public comment

The Kansas Parole Board will conduct public comment sessions this month for inmates who are entitled to a parole hearing in July.

These inmates who were convicted of crimes in Leavenworth or Jefferson counties are eligible for hearings next month:

  • Gary Joseph Quirk, convicted in Jefferson County of second-degree murder and of rape, being held at El Dorado Correctional Facility.
  • Terry Lee McDaniel, convicted in Jefferson County of theft, being held at Hutchinson Correctional Facility.
  • John D. Bradshaw, convicted in Leavenworth County of attempting to traffic in contraband at a correctional institution, also convicted in Sedgwick County of aggravated sodomy and aggravated kidnapping, being held at Hutchinson Correctional Facility.
  • Cortez L. Green, convicted in Leavenworth County of second-degree murder, being held at Hutchinson Correctional Facility.
  • Bruce A. Cooper, convicted in Leavenworth County of arson, also convicted in Wyandotte County of kidnapping and aggravated robbery, being held at Lansing Correctional Facility.
  • Marcus C. Goodwin Jr., convicted in Leavenworth County of aggravated battery, also convicted in Wyandotte County of aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary, being held at Lansing Correctional Facility.
  • Ermond Littrice, convicted in Leavenworth County of aggravated battery, also convicted in Wyandotte County of second-degree murder, being held at Lansing Correctional Facility.

Public comment sessions will be conducted from 10 a.m. to noon June 28 at City Hall, One McDowell Plaza, 701 N. Seventh, Kansas City, Kan.; and from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. June 25 in the Landon State Office Building, Room 106-A, 900 S.W. Jackson St., Topeka.
