Lenard L. Beach
Services for Lenard L. Beach, 63, Tonganoxie, were Monday, March 1, 2004, at the Christian Church in Tonganoxie. Burial was in Hubbel Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Beach died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004, at Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan. He was born Jan. 7, 1941 in Alton, Mo., the son of Raymond and Louise (Willard) Beach. He was a member of First Congregational Church, Tonganoxie. He worked as a machinist for Santa Fe Railroad, Kansas City, Kan., for 43 years, retiring in 2002. On Sept. 20, 1958, he married Molly Carol Mestagh. She died June 27, 2002.
Survivors include three sons, Roger Leon Beach, Chris Alan Beach and James Dean Beach, all of Tonganoxie; a daughter, Julie DeMaranville, Tonganoxie; his mother, Louise Beach, Tonganoxie; five brothers, David Beach, Oskaloosa, Jerry Beach, Tonganoxie, Joe Beach, Baldwin, Ronnie Beach, Oskaloosa, and Martin Beach, Tonganoxie; two sisters, Linda Hisaw, Branson, Mo., and Norma Allen, Oskaloosa; 22 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He also raised three nieces and one nephew, Colette Krupco, McLouth, Karen Davidson, Lawrence, Margaret Bath, Wellington, Colo., and Chuck Mestagh, McLouth.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Tonganoxie VFW Park, sent in care of Quisenberry Funeral Home, P.O. Box 993, Tonganoxie, 66086.
