Obituary: Gladys Allene Hinman

1915-2005

Services for Gladys Allene Hinman, 89, Lee's Summit, Mo., will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, at Langsford Funeral Home, Lee's Summit. Burial will be in Lee's Summit Cemetery.

Mrs. Hinman died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2005, at Wilshire Nursing Facility. She was born Aug. 12, 1915, at home in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Maude M. and Charles L. Buster.

She married Gerald B. Hinman on Sept. 5, 1947.

She lived in the Kansas City area all of her life, and lived in Lee's Summit since 1947.

She was a member of Little Blue Baptist Church, a charter member of Shepherd Center, as well as a member of AARP and Adults Over 55. She also was an active participant at Lea Haven, where she lived from February 1988 to May 2002. She lived at Wilshire Nursing Facility since May 2002.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Anderson, Grain Valley, Mo., and the Rev. David Hinman, Bradenton, Fla.; a daughter, Gail Drake, Tonganoxie; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Little Blue Baptist Church or West Haven Baptist Church, sent in care of Langsford Funeral Home, 115 S.W. Third St., Lee's Summit.

Friends may call from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
