Letter to the editor: A grateful family

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the Tonganoxie Fire Department for its fast response time, and the courteous manner in which firefighters handled our emergency on June 30 when our home was struck by lightning. Also, we would like to thank our neighbor, Melanie Galloway, for calling 911 and our neighbor, Mr. Yates, for thinking of us and buying us a sandwich tray. We are forever grateful.
