The Kansas Plowboys 10-and-younger AA competitive baseball team has been on an roll in the last month, proving why they are ranked No. 1 in Kansas and 30th in the nation. They are 9-0 and 13-1 in their last 14 games sweeping both the Missouri State AA Classic and The Negro Museum Hall of Fame Slugfest.
The team, made up of Jefferson County baseball players, is competing against the some of the top teams in the Midwest.
According to Plowboys coach Kirk Patterson, the team has proved "that our kids out here can play as well as anyone in the city."

The Plowboys range in age from 8 to 10. The Plowboys have also received spots in the Kansas State Championships and the 10-and-younger AA World Series.
Plowboy coaches urge any youth in the fourth grade to try out for the team. Anyone interested in sponsoring the Plowboys donating to the team may contact Jeannette Zink at (913) 774-2767.
