Obituary: John T. Clark
Services for John T. Clark, 66, Oskaloosa, were Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. Burial was in the National Cemetery, Leavenworth.
Mr. Clark died Wednesday, August 31, 2005, at Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka. He was born June 24, 1939, in Kansas City, Kan, the son of Benjamin T. and Doris (Bean) Clark.
He was a 1957 graduate of McLouth High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He retired in 2002 as a driver for Transit Bus Co. in Lawrence. He was an accomplished pilot, aircraft builder and a member of the National Experimental Aircraft Association.
On June 9, 1961, he married Joan Tarr in Kansas City, Kan. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include his mother, Omaha; a son, Michael Clark, Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Kathy Jones, Lawrence; three brothers, Charles Clark, Linwood, David Clark, Kansas City, Kan., and Benton Clark, Omaha; two sisters, Suzzanne Nickle, Tonganoxie, and Linda Vincent, Monticello, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
