Police still investigate murder

February 15, 2006

Three months have passed since a 44-year-old Tonganoxie woman, Robin Bell, was found beaten to death in a western Wyandotte County business. Police said this week that they continue to search for her killer.

Bonner Springs police Lt. Rick Schubert said police have no intention of ceasing their investigation into the November 2005 homicide. He said the probe would only end if new leads in the case ever dried up.

"I don't foresee that happening in the near future," said Schubert, who reiterated that he believes the case can be solved and Bell's killer brought to justice. No arrests have been made in the case.

Bell was found in the early morning hours on Nov. 12 inside the north Dollar General Store in Bonner Springs. Police were called to the scene after Bell's husband, Don Bell of Tonganoxie, reported her missing.

Reward money now totals $11,000 for viable information regarding the homicide.

Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS hotline, (816) 474-8477.
