Obituary: Edward Eugene Kinnaird

Services for Edward Eugene Kinnaird, 81, Kansas City, Kan., will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kan. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Kinnaird died Monday, Jan. 9, 2006, at Presbyterian Manor in Kansas City, Kan. He was born Feb. 2, 1924, in Tennessee.

A longtime Kansas City, Kan., resident, he attended Glad Tidings Church. He was employed for 28 years by Swift and Company and later by Inland (Ameri-Cold) Quarry.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Dorine L. Kinnaird, of the home; two daughters, Patty Choate, Turner, and Linda High, Basehor; two stepsons, Jim Kinnaird, Florida, and Cashes Poore, Kansas City, Kan.; seven stepdaughters, JoAnn Snook, Creighton, Mo, Barbara Davis, Shell Knob, Mo., Velma Burdiss, Granby, Mo., Linda Poore, Springfield, Mo., Cynthia Halstead, Topeka, Charlene White, Monett, Mo., and Lilith Berry, Tonganoxie; three brothers, Sam Kinnaird, Linwood, George Kinnaird, Hardin, Mo., and Donald Kinnaird, Tennessee; a sister, Katy VanTrump, Raytown, Mo.; 27 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 11, 2006, at the funeral home.
