James William Frick

Services for James William Frick, 57, McLouth, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2006, at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Tonganoxie.

Mr. Frick died Saturday, June 10, 2006, at his home. He was born May 24, 1949, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Francis LeRoy and Mildred Rose (Smith) Frick. He was a Viet Nam veteran and retired from the U.S. Navy in 1990. He was a chef for Bitler's Hickory House Barbeque, Tonganoxie, and Harvest House Restaurant, McLouth, and currently worked for Peruvian Connection, Tonganoxie. He was a volunteer for Alexandria Township Fire Department.

On Jan. 4, 1969, he married Frances F. Kelly at Basehor. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, James William Frick, Jr., Manhattan, Kan., and A1C Russell Benjamin Frick, Langley AFB, Va.; four daughters, Helen Elaine Lingenfelter, Spokane, Wash., Kathrine Rose Atkinson, Valley Falls, Margaret Fern Perry, Kalispell, Mont., and Cynthia Louise Frick, Yakima, Wash.; three brothers, Charles David Frick and Thomas G. Frick, both of Tonganoxie, and Anthony E. Frick, Roland, Okla.; a sister, Francene Lynn Criswell, Bremerton, Wash.; and 11 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, June 14, 2006, at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Tonganoxie Veterans of Foreign Wars Park Naval Memorial, sent in care of Quisenberry Funeral Home, P.O. Box 993, Tonganoxie 66086.
