Jan and Orie Nelson of Springdale had their daughter Camille Sumerik and children, Cody and Jennifer from Ormond Beach, Fla., as guests from Oct. 26 to Oct. 30. They saw lots of pretty trees and took a lot of pictures. They were out of school for parent-teacher conferences. They also had a birthday party in Leavenworth for Jan on Oct. 29.

Lloyd and Margaret Smelser, Allen Smelser and Jeannie Jantz traveled together to Wiggins, Colo., to visit Margaret’s sister and husband, Virginia and John Jones, and other family residing in that area. Returning home through Hays, they shared Oct. 4 dinner together with Scott Smelser, son of Allen and Nancy, and Jason Smelser, son of Fred and Catherine, who are students at Fort Hays State University.
