James and Sheila Snyder attended the annual Boy Scout fall preview dinner Aug. 12 in Onaga. The meeting featured training for School Night for Scouting, which will be Thursday at most schools in the area for Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts. This was followed by a banquet and an awards ceremony. James and Sheila both received the Scouters' Training Award for their efforts and accomplishments in the Oregon Trails district. James also received the Scout Master Award, which requires 3-year tenure; he has served 7 years in this position.
