Letters to the editor: Significant date passes quietly
To the editor:
Another Jan. 22 has passed, many people not even aware of the significance of that date. That is the date when it became legal in America to kill babies not yet born.
Perhaps one day that decision will be overturned. I hope and pray so. But until then, I mourn the millions of precious lives lost and I pay tribute to the women who, in difficult situations, choose life for their baby.
There is no such thing as an unwanted child. Many couples are waiting and hoping to adopt.
America stands for every individual's right to pursue life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That right should extend to babies not yet born. Perhaps someday it will.
