Peggy Gillaspie, Evelyn Schwinn, Jeanette and Emily Cole left early Friday, Sept. 7, and enjoyed breakfast in Branson, Mo. They spent the day in Silver Dollar City to attend the Southern Gospel Fest and other attractions. They returned home Saturday evening after a stop at the Cheese Factory in Osceola, Mo.
Ray and Jeanette Cole entertained several friends and family on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 9, for their son, Luke Cole, who turned 10 years old on Monday, Sept. 10. He attends Salt Creek Valley School as a fourth-grader.
Donald Coffin was visiting Evelyn Schwinn on Sunday evening, Sept. 9. He is recovering from recent knee surgery.
Jennifer Roggenkamp and son Brayden were visiting her parents on Tuesday, Sept. 11.
John and Cora Moses and Wayne and Anabel Knapp attended the 63rd annual Leavenworth Jefferson Electric Cooperative dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at McLouth School Purple Gymnasium.
Wayne Knapp attended his class reunion of 60 years on Friday evening, Sept. 7, at the High Noon Saloon with an evening of visiting with classmates. Saturday, Wayne and Anabel Knapp attended a banquet at the Carousel Museum with a lovely meal, a group picture, a short movie, and a ride on the merry-go-round.
John Cora Moses left Monday morning, Sept. 10, to attend the Hutchinson fair and returned home Wednesday, Sept. 12.
Tom and Kathy Powell had a dinner on Wednesday Sept. 12 for the Tonganoxie cross country team and 38 attended.
Richard and Wanda Parker attended the wedding of their oldest grandson, William Matthew Dragoo of Leon. He is the son of Mike and Cheryl (Parker) Dragoo. He married Amanda Sue Wood of Augusta. The bride and groom both are from Rosalia, where they attended school together since the third grade. They were married at 6 p.m. Sept. 1 in Rosalia United Methodist Church
Also attending were Tyler and Jay Evert and family from Leavenworth, Terri Parker of Tonganoxie, and Mike and Melissa Keimig and family of Edmond, Okla.
Richard and Wanda Parker went to a first cousins reunion of the Parker clan on Sept. 8 at Locust Grove, Okla.
Myron and Jody Schwinn of St. George came on Saturday Sept. 1, to attend the 50th anniversary of Bob and Mary Boyer at Trinity United Methodist Church in Leavenworth. Other Schwinn family members attending were Herbert and Geneviene Schwinn, Danny and Linda Schwinn, Peggy and Ed Gillaspie, Earl and Mary Barbara Allen, Carolynn Thomas, and Evelyn Schwinn. The Boyers and Schwinns are cousins.
Ray and Jeanette, Emily and Luke Cole and Evelyn Schwinn enjoyed lunch together on Sunday, Sept. 2. Then they went to the carousel, where Luke and Emily enjoyed the ride. It is so beautiful.
David and Jennifer Roggenkamp of St. Mary along with nephew baby "Brayden" were visiting over the weekend with Johnny and Jackie Schwinn. Amy also was home from Manhattan for the Labor Day weekend.

Rob Noble drove to Colorado to visit his good friend Bryan Coons the last of August. They have been good friends since seventh grade. Susan Noble drove to Colorado Labor day weekend to visit he sister, Judy Mongald, at Colorado Springs. Susan returned home Monday Sept. 3.
Wayne and Anabel Knapp attended the 50th anniversary of Sy and Shirley Nyhart on Sunday, Sept. 2, at the Leavenworth Community Center. A large crowd attended. Sy was county agent at Leavenworth for a number of years. He is retired now.
