Flood watch issued for Leavenworth County

Leavenworth County is one of several counties in Kansas and Missouri included in a National Weather Service flood watch, issued Wednesday. The watch will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday and will be in effect through Thursday morning.
A flood watch means that conditions are favorable for heavy rain across the watch area, which may lead to flooding.

If you were on the Tonganoxie City Council, how would you have handled the liquor ordinance issue?
I would probably vote to keep the ordinance, even though it conflicts with the former attorney general’s opinion. The mayor has a good point that our local economy can’t afford to allow other liquor stores to be receiving business on Sundays that our liquor stores could be receiving.
