Jarbalo Jottings
December 23, 2008
The Oelschlaeger extended family had a Christmas gathering Dec. 20 at Jarbalo United Methodist Church with Orville and Rosie Oelschlaeger as hosts. On Saturday, some of the family were at Orville and Rosie’s for finger food and gift exchange.
Thursday, Orville Oelschlaeger treated Rosie to dinner at Applebee’s in honor of her birthday that day. Sunday, Jason and Helen McBroom treated Orville and Rosie to dinner at Bob Evans for Rosie’s birthday.
Gary and Linda Blanton of Highland visited Orville and Rosie one day recently.
The Jaunty Jarbalonians Red Hat Chapter met Dec. 20 at the home of Jane Turner.
Because of the bad weather and some sickness, only three members attended. There was an exchange of cookies and snack foods were served.
Lynn, Paul and Thamar Barnett also were there. The date and place of the next meeting has not been set.
The community offers its sympathy to the Lem Evans family of Tonganoxie for its loss.
