Greg and Marie Gillaspie entertained Jan. 26 with a birthday party for their daughter, Amber, who turned 3 years old Jan. 22. Attending the party were great-grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Amber had a Dora cake.

Johnny Schwinn celebrated his birthday on Jan. 26. Jackie and Adam accompanied him to St. Mary's, where they visited David, Jennifer and Brayden Roggenkamp.

Evelyn Schwinn, Ray and Jeanette Cole, Luke and Emily and Robert and Miriam Seute all enjoyed lunch together at Pullman Place in Leavenworth on Jan. 27.

Herbert and Geneviene Schwinn and Evelyn Schwinn went Monday Jan. 28, to the Perkins in Lawrence to have lunch with Mary Barbara and Earl Allen and Myron and Jody Schwinn. It was also Herbert's birthday. They had a wonderful time together.

Anabel Knapp visited Cara and Lorala Kruid on Jan. 27.

Linda Haley visited Anabel Knapp on Monday afternoon.

Cara and John Moses and Wayne and Anabel Knapp attended the Leavenworth County Conservation District's annual dinner and meeting Jan. 26. Dorothy Klowm catered the meal. Entertainment was Calamity Jane by Joyce Thierer. Soil Conservation Banker Awardees for 2007 were the Rodney Parsons family, Robert Barnhardt, Phyllis and Charles Gable, Ronnie Kenyon, Goldie Carpenter. A very large crowd attended.

Jennie Coffin and Frances Jeannin attended Annie's Jubilee at Tonganoxie Saturday evening, Jan. 27.
