The McLouth United Methodist Church Super Bowl soup Sunday was Feb. 3. Church members chose up sides several weeks ago. The west side of church was designated as the Canners, while the east side was the Holy Rollers. Everyone was to bring their cans of soup.
The Holy Rollers won the contest. Because the Canners lost, they had to treat the Holy Rollers between Sunday School and church with snacks. All together, they collected about 1,618 cans. They will be distributed to several different Topeka area food pantries. The church has conducted the contest annually for several years.
