The annual meeting of the Fall Creek Cemetery Corporation will be at 2 p.m. March 8 at the Springdale Fire Station.
Joyce Simmons of Seymour, Mo., visited Bid Sheppard Feb. 9. LaVera Aufdemberge visited her Feb. 10.
The Jarbalo United Methodist Women met Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the church. President Marilyn Oxley opened the meeting with a prayer. Five members answered roll call and reported 59 care calls. The members will observe prayer and self-denial until the next meeting, when they will turn in their banks.
Plans were made for the pancake supper, which will be at 5 p.m. Friday, March 14. Marilyn will get the supplies.
A mission's lesson titled "The Icing on the Cake" was given by Rosie Oelschlaeger.
Those attending the meeting were Marilyn Oxley, Frances Jeannin, Rosie Oelschaleger, Peachez Joles and Faye Cleavinger. After the meeting adjourned, the group, except for Peachez, took ice cream and cake, provided by Rosie, to Bid Sheppard's house and had a celebration for Bid's 96th birthday, which is Saturday. Bid had to miss the meeting because some men were there to do tree trimming and removal.
The next meeting will be March 12 with Frances Jeannin hostess and lesson leader.
Julia Carter and Shianne of Moran visited Thamar Barnett on Wednesday, Feb. 13, and Thursday.
