Along with the snowfall the National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory until 6 p.m. tonight.

Northwest winds are reaching 25 to 30 miles per hour with some gusts reaching more than 40 miles per hour.

Wind chills from zero degrees to 5 degrees below zero are expected throughout the afternoon.

Jean Rush, superintendent for the McLouth School District said for now classes and after school sporting events will continue as scheduled.
