Springdale News

Evelyn Schwinn enjoyed lunch on Sunday, March 2, with Ray and Jeanette, Cole, Luke and Emily at Pizza Hut in Lansing. They shopped together after lunch.

Ed and Peggy Gillaspie were visiting Evelyn Schwinn Monday, March 3. Brian Schwinn was also a visitor.

Johnny and Jackie Schwinn and Adam enjoyed visits from Amy Schwinn and Jennifer Roggenkamp and grandson Brayden over the March 1 weekend.

Eugene Kramer visited with Evelyn Schwinn Tuesday morning while waiting for his ride to a meeting in Topeka. He and Evelyn were high school classmates, and enjoyed visiting.

Area Farmers were attending the Jefferson County Insurance and Financial meeting and lunch at the Winchester Community Center on Tuesday, March 4.

The Springdale community welcomes a new family to Springdale.

Jim Lawrence Jr, recently purchased the property of Bill and Thelma Wallace, also known as the old Springdale store. Charles Wrigley had a store prior to Wallace purchasing and converting it to a dwelling. Jim is a military man and has 30 years in service and will soon be retiring. After retiring he will be moving to Springdale. Presently Jim is living on Post. Currently he is cleaning up, fixing up, etc. before the anticipated move.
