McLouth happenings

American Legion Auxiliary Post #393 thanks all who supported their two fundraising events - the Patriots' Day booth and the Mother's Day Luncheon and Bake Sale. A special thank you is extended to Del Garrison for his generous donation. Funds collected from the fundraisers remain in the McLouth community and are distributed for scholarships and Girls State. The four 2008 scholarship recipients are: Samantha Farris, Washburn University; Andrew Jantz, NCK Technical College; Lee Smelser, NCK Technical College; and Britney Turner, Butler County Community College.

¢ Fowler Cemetery will have its memorial services at 2 p.m. Sunday, while Wildhorse Cemetery's will begin at 2:30 p.m. McLouth Cemetery services will be 11 a.m. Memorial Day, which is Monday.

¢Community "Scrapbooking" Fellowship will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 29, in the basement of the First Baptist Church of McLouth. Beginners and seasoned scrapbookers are welcome. Bring your photos and share your ideas. Questions? Please call Sheryl Stemmons at (785) 840-4239.
