Armed Forces Insurance partners in bowl game

By Special To The Current - | Sep 15, 2008

With the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl four months away, the staff for the sixth annual post-season collegiate football game has been busy securing a three-year partnership agreement with Armed Forces Insurance of Leavenworth.

As the exclusive and official insurance partner of the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl, Armed Forces Insurance will take on three important roles: the co-presenting partner of the team kickoff luncheon, the title partner of the Armed Forces Adventure Area and the presenting partner of the Great American Patriot Award. The AFI logo will appear on the playing field’s 25 yard line, and the company will participate in spots in ESPN’s tv & radio broadcasts.

“Our military theme has been extremely successful the past two years-it’s helped us attract partnerships from within the military business fields,” said Tom Starr, executive director of the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl. “Armed Forces Insurance will play a big part in the development of the bowl game along with helping us honor an outstanding American citizen during the half-time presentation.”

Retired Col. Tom Dials, president and chairman of Armed Forces Insurance, echoed Starr’s comments. “The Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl honors our military personnel, who work tirelessly to make the U.S. a better and safer place for its citizens,” he said. “With this partnership, we give something back to our members in a way that recognizes them for their outstanding service to our country.”
