Wayne and Anabel Knapp played host to a birthday supper April 3 for Kirk and Wayne’s birthdays. Austin, son of Kirk, also was there.

Several folks from the Springdale area have been attending Holy Week services.

On Wednesday, April 8, the message was done by Rev. Morgan Smith of the United Methodist Church of McLouth. The ladies had cookies and punch after services by Stanwood Friends Church.

Austin Knapp, grandson of Wayne and Anabel Knapp, had surgery April 8 in Topeka. He is home and doing well.

Johnny and Billy Schwinn made a recent business trip to near Manhattan so they visited with Myron Schwinn, who is an uncle. They enjoyed lunch and much visiting.

Dwane and JoAnn Monroe were celebrating their 50th anniversary with their family April 4 at Cedar Ridge in Atchison.

Danny and Linda Schwinn played host to a 24th birthday dinner April 5 for their son Rick. Enjoying dinner were Dave Zules, Randy Schwinn, Harold and Anna Schermbeck and Evelyn Schwinn.

The planning committee for the Easton Rural High School met April 6 at Pullman Place in Leavenworth to make plans for the June 6 dinner and alumni reunion. Attending were Judy Sloan, Helen Edmonds, Evelyn Schwinn, Virginia Meyer, Eugene and Eileen Kramer and Jim and May Thomas.

Springdale Friends Church was host to the April 7 Holy Week service. A large crowd attended.

On April 5, Rev. Bill Gridlon of Springdale Church had a dedication service for Aubrey Gillaspie, daughter of Jeff and Jenna Gillaspie and Reily Gillaspie, son of Greg and Marie Gillaspie.

The families enjoyed lunch together later in Leavenworth.
