Jarbalo Jottings

Kip Barnett of Winchester visited Kathy Stimac on Saturday. Kip had pictures of a truck that he and his son Loren, of Lansing, built. They have been participating in area Mud-a-Thons with the truck this summer. Kip said they have won a few trophies and are trying to be ready for competition in Tonganoxie this week. His son Jesse has a truck he is running also.

Tammy Mooberry of Leavenworth visited Thamar Barnett on Saturday. Tammy had just returned from visiting with friends at Fort Riley.

On Aug. 4, Sarabeth Rathbin of Overland Park and her daughter, Amanda, along with friend, Jay, of Virginia, visited with Bid Sheppard. Sarabeth is Bid’s niece.

Kathy Stimac visited with Cynthia Sandahl, of McLouth, on Sunday afternoon. Cynthia grew up in the area and has bought a home in Jefferson County.

Virginia Seymour brought fresh cantaloupe from her garden to Bid Sheppard on Sunday and stayed to visit for a while.
