The last two days have been tough for the team. We have played two good teams, the Lawrence Raiders and the Newton Knights. Plus, we did not play our best against those teams, so the outcome was not what we wanted. While the season ended on a sour note, there were many high points for the team this year.
We became the first team in Tonganoxie's history earn a trip to AAA Legion State Tournament. Plus, we won our first game in the tournament, proving we belonged in the tournament. That was not ouronly feat this season. We also won our league championship, which has been our goal since I started playing for Post 41 5 years ago.
This season has been a blast. We went from getting run-spread in the first two game to beating the same team in the league championship. We took huge steps this season toward becoming a very good team and next year looks very promising.

Just got done with the game. That was my second walk-off hit this season and it was awesome. I saw Blaize take off for third and I just hope that the ball would drop. The shortstop dove for the ball and missed and everyone went nuts. It was a great ending to the first game of the state tournament.
