Himpel, Maus, Wolf medal at state wrestling competition

Two Tonganoxie Kids Wrestling Club members won medals this past weekend at the Kansas Folkstyle Wrestling Championships at the Expocentre in Topeka.

Joseph Wolf and Jeremie Maus both placed at the state competition.

Tonganoxie results

Patterson Starcher, 8-and-younger, 67 pounds, 0-2, did not medal

Joseph Wolf, 12-and-younger, 115 pounds, 4-2, fourth place

Jonas Myers, 14-and-younger, 205 pounds, 1-2, did not medal

Jeremie Maus, 16-and-younger, 165 pounds, 3-3, sixth place

Jeremy Elliott, 16-and-younger, 175 pounds, 0-2, did not place

Himpel finishes third

Clayton Himpel, who wrestles for the Leavenworth County Spartans Wrestling Club, medaled at the Kansas Folkstyle Wrestling Championships.

Himpel, who wrestled in the 12-and-younger, 100-pounds class, took third place.
