Karen Stolte of Oklahoma City was visiting her cousin, Evelyn Schwinn, on April 30. She also visited her brother, Tom Stolte. She visited her friend Marilyn Kay Parsons on Wednesday evening in Leavenworth.
Peggy Gillaspie was celebrating a birthday on Wednesday, May 6. She enjoyed lunch on Sunday with her family in Leavenworth.
Rich Schwinn and his committee is doing some remodeling this week in Friendship Hall at Springdale Friends Church.
The grandmother of Becky Price of Springdale, Ruby Williams, passed away in Colorado Springs, Colo. Her funeral was May 8. Her sister Becky and Becky’s mother left Thursday to attend the funeral.
Jo and Elmer Rothermund from Columbus, Ohio are visiting LJ and Gertrude Chrisman. They came Saturday, May 2 and returned home on May 7.
Gertrude Chrisman and two daughters, her friend Jo Rothermund, Joyce Webb and Valerie Lafferty and granddaughters from Bonner Springs, along with Anabel Knapp and sister Thelma, all attended the Mother and Daughter Banquet on May 6 at First United Methodist Church in McLouth. A lovely meal was served and a very nice program given.
John and Cora Moses traveled to Eminence, Mo. They left Saturday, April 25 and returned home May 1 to visit Cora’s aunt, Anabel Underwood.
Jennie Coffin and a busload from First State Bank of Tonganoxie traveled to Washington, D.C. They left April 15 and came back April 25. Forty-seven made the trip.
