Tonganoxie soccer seniors ‘make their mark’ on program

Tonganoxie High’s boys soccer seniors not only matched their win total from the previous three years combined, going 7-9-2 in 2009, but also won a playoff match.

James Grizzle Jr., an eighth-grader at Tonganoxie Middle School, played for the NECCO Raiders youth football club in Claycomo, Mo., this year as the team won the North Suburban Youth Football League Super Bowl.

All summer long, EJ Field prepared for what he thought would be his senior year of football at Tonganoxie High. But on registration day in August, Field found out there would be no senior year for him at THS. Instead, he would enroll at nearby McLouth High.
